When and how do I get paid?
Automatic payment after every booking. Here's when it lands.
Payment is handled automatically through the platform - you don't need to chase invoices or ask families to pay you directly.
Here's how it works:
When do I get paid?
Payment is processed after a booking is completed. Once the booking ends and is marked complete, the payment is released to your connected Stripe account. This typically appears in your bank account within 2-5 business days depending on your bank.
How much do I receive?
You receive your full hourly rate. The platform fee (20%) is charged to the family separately - it does not come out of your earnings.
Example: You charge $30/hr for a 3-hour booking. You receive $90. The family pays $108 ($90 + $18 platform fee).
Setting up your payment account
Payments are processed via Stripe. When you first sign up, you'll be prompted to connect your Stripe account. You'll need your NZ bank account details to complete this. If your Stripe account isn't connected, payment cannot be released. Make sure this is set up in your profile before your first booking.
What if a parent cancels?
If a parent cancels with less than 12 hours notice, you receive 100% of your booking amount. If they cancel between 12 and 48 hours, you receive 50%. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice mean no payment for that booking.
